The use of footprints on the slides for the various topic video presentations provides a visual connecting each subject to the overall theme/question.

Throughout the course information is presented that addresses the connection between one’s footprint and the role, responsibility and challenges faced by event planners. This is visually conveyed in the course slide that is used for the course homepage and on all topic, instructor announcements and assignment videos.

A closing slide brings this into focus (no pun intended). The use of a tune adds to the branding of the theme.

This is an example of an assignment that provided the opportunity to connect intellectually and emotionally to the theme of my/our footprint. The assignment included individual assessment of one’s footprint attending a meeting using a carbon calculator. Collaborating with several classmates, the individual results were combined to produce an info graphic based on the group’s analysis and creativity.
