The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough. Rabindranath Tagore.
For as long as I can remember I have loved butterflies. Their wings look like velvet. They move about lightly and freely. Colors across the spectrum.

Watching them from my workspace I notice their movement is deliberate as they move from flower to flower, making every moment count. The pace at which they move is slow and steady.
Reflecting on the quote and observing nature, I consider the lessons to be learned. As a planner by nature I am continually counting the months until the next deadline or milestone. The ability to create the timeline or to accomplish the required tasks has allowed me to excel personally and professionally. Using the time available has often felt as though I do not have enough months.

A change in my work location has provided a different view to the outside from my seat. This new vantage point has also allowed for a new perspective while watching the activity in nature unfold. Stopping to take photos means I am counting the moment and not the month. It reminds me that I have time enough to stop and pause while still meeting deadlines and milestones.
Move lightly and freely as the butterfly stopping to admire the beauty around.
